Organised within the framework of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The conference will be held on 19–20 May at the Filoxenia Conference Centre in Nicosia.
The conference will address the implementation of the Pact on Migration and Asylum, focusing on the current state of play and the remaining challenges, while highlighting the significant changes introduced by the Pact, in particular with regard to border procedures.
The event will take place over two days and will feature high-level opening keynote addresses, six thematic discussion panels, and concluding remarks. Participation will be extended to international organisations and civil society stakeholders, in recognition of the importance of their engagement, with differentiated participation across the two days. The first day will be a high-level session open exclusively to EU Member State Governments, Norway, UNHCR, and IOM. The second day will in addition be open to civil society organisations, NGOs, and other EMN Observer Countries.
