World Bank and EMN Roundtable “New approaches to EU Migration: Innovations in designing and implementing new labour migration pathways”

On June 1 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Estonian time), a roundtable will be held as part of the jointly organized Footprints series by the World Bank and EMN, this time focusing on labour migration pathways. The roundtable will discuss the following topics:

  • What are the interests and labour market needs of origin and destination countries? What are the essential elements in designing fair and effective labour migration programs?
  • Who are the main stakeholders of these new initiatives, and why is public-private partnership relevant?
  • What can be learned from these new initiatives, and how could they be expanded into long-term, mutually beneficial, structured, and sustainable partnerships?

The roundtable will be moderated by Manjula Luthria (Senior Economist, World Bank). Opening and closing remarks will be delivered by Julia Lendorfer (Head of Research and Migration Law, IOM).
